Virginia's Key Aerospace Association
The Virginia AeroSpace Business Association (VASBA) is the premier statewide nonprofit trade association representing all aspects of the aerospace industry in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Founding membership includes numerous companies, nonprofits, and individuals representing many facets of the industry with the intent to make VASBA an effective advocate for the aerospace industry before federal, state and local policy-makers.
VASBA holds events which provide networking opportunities for participants with colleagues, industry leaders, and key policy makers. All manner of aerospace companies, research labs, academic institutions, individuals and professional service firms are welcome to participate.

Creating Opportunities in Aerospace
VASBA believes strongly in creating opportunities in aerospace. Focused on this aspect is our Advocacy & Economic Development Committee. It is charged with the following:
Promote Business Development and Increase Economic Growth
- Increase business opportunities for industry, government and universities
- Improve the overall economic health of the region and the state
VASBA, as well as the Committee, is working to unite the Virginia Aerospace community to leverage relationships and create opportunities for our membership and the Commonwealth. This is accomplished by:
- Monthly lunches with organizations
- Networking and social functions to share challenges and opportunities
- Strategic alliances and partnerships with other local, regional and state organizations
- Participation on the Governors Aerospace Advisory Committee
- Site visits to aerospace facilities within Virginia
- Hosting an annual meeting to discuss key issues with Virginia Congressional Delegation
- Financial support of workforce related activities
