VASBA members had an incredible opportunity to spend the day touring NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility and getting an up-close look at the people, facilities, and missions helping advance Virginia’s role in the aerospace industry.

And what made the experience even more special? Center Director, David L. Pierce was our personal tour guide! Talk about an insider’s perspective.

On the tour the group had the opportunity to hear updates on the causeway bridge, view Virginia Spaceport Authority’s Launch Complex, the MARS UAS Runway, tour Sounding Rocket Integration and Testing Labs, and Rocket Lab's Integration and Control Facility (ICF).

From learning more about Wallops’ mission and capabilities to seeing the facilities firsthand, it was a fantastic opportunity to experience one of Virginia’s most important aerospace assets from a whole new perspective.
